From 1st January 2010 we are introducing new processes for handling pre-application advice and permitted development enquires, and have produced following documentation to assist you in making these.  Please follow the link in the left hand bar.

We have produced several guidelines to help you find out if your proposal requires planning permission.

All you need to know about making, viewing and commenting on an application.  A Standard Planning Application Form (1APP) is being introduced across England. It will replace all existing types of planning application forms, except for mineral workings.

All planning applications are decided against policies set out in the North Dorset District-Wide Local Plan.  Policies at National, Regional and County level also have a part to play.
