The Council is launching the New Plan for the future of North Dorset including proposals for 7000 new homes. A number of public exhibitions are being held across the District to explain the plan and your views are being sought on its content.

Home owners in North Dorset will be asked to pay a district Council Tax of £104.78 a year for more than 50 services provided by the District Council. This is an average increase of £3.03 per year or 2.9%.

Initial findings from the search for potential gypsy and traveller sites in North Dorset are being considered. Read the Site Options Appraisal.

North Dorset Community Partnership won the top accolade at this year's national Community Partnership Awards.

North Dorset District Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from leisure management contractors to operate the existing dual-use Blandford Leisure Centre.

The Council has prepared a draft Economic Development Strategy to address the needs of local businesses over the next few years. Comments are invited by 12 March.
