Bourton Village Plan

In common with many Dorset villages, Bourton Parish Council has sponsored the preparation of a new village plan. The Village Plan Steering Group has been set up to research and write the plan.

The Bourton Village Plan 2007 will be important in many areas of village life over the next decade. It will set out village needs and objectives identified in areas like welfare services, healthcare, planning, environment, leisure and recreation, education for all ages, bus services and transport. Priorities will be listed and an Action Plan produced to deliver results and progress and achievements will be monitored.

The first stage of preparing the Village Plan was the undertaking of a Village survey.  345 households were sent survey forms and 301 replied.
