Post Office Change Programme

The period of consultation for the post office closure programme ends on 1 September 2008.

Eight Post Offices in North Dorset have been included in the Change Programme announced by Post Office Limited on 15 July 2008. The full programme is attached below. Five of these are proposed for closure and three to receive an ‘outreach service’. North Dorset District Council is hosting the county wide meeting of partners on 30 July to discuss how best we can collectively respond to the announcement during the consultation period and what support can be given to the Sub Post masters and the communities affected.

If you would like to contribute your comments or views then the Dorset Community Action website at www.dorsetcommunityaction.org.uk is being used by all partners to collate information on a county wide basis and keep everyone up to date.
