Accident Reporting, Complaints and Investigation

Employers have a duty to report certain accidents arising out of work activities. These are reported to the Incident Contact Centre (www.riddor.gov.uk) who then forward them onto the relevant authority.

What is RIDDOR?  It stands for the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995.

Complaints from employees and the public about working conditions or dangerous situations are investigated by us or, where appropriate, passed to the Health and Safety Executive

Please call Environmental Health at North Dorset District Council (01258) 484381 or e-mail us for more details of this service.
