Second Hand Goods

In some parts of the country local laws have been brought in to licence businesses selling second hand goods, for example, the Greater Manchester Act 1981. There is no such law or requirement for licensing the scale of Second Hand Goods in North Dorset.  However complaints about second hand goods including the safety of electrical goods are dealt with by Dorset County Council Trading Standards

Please call Environmental Health at North Dorset District Council (01258) 484381 or e-mail us for more details of this service.
