Older people

Many people find that they have some increasing physical frailty as they get older - it may be sensory loss, not being able to get about like before, difficulty with household tasks. Here we introduce some of the services available for older people.

North Dorset District Council offers a range of grant assistance to help vulnerable elderly owner-occupiers to carry out essential repairs and adaptations to their homes.

The Council also has a Home Improvement Agency run by Anchor Staying Put.  This agency specifically provides confidential advice, support and assistance to owner occupiers over the age of 60.
