Access

  • Manage Dorset's 3000 miles of outstanding public paths keeping them well signed, open and easy to use.
  • Develop high quality recreational trails and local routes.

Conservation

  • Carry out environmental and landscape improvements on country parks, other sites and the wider countryside.
  • Manage two country parks for biodiversity and recreation.

Information

  • Offer a range of advice and information on countryside issues.

Recreation

  • Manage and maintain the recreation facilities on it's sites and within the wider countryside recreational network.

Tourism

  • Support the rural economy through sustainable tourism and recreational initiatives.

Partnerships

  • Working closely with the local community on local initiatives.
  • Working in partnership with district and borough councils.

Dorset Countryside's North Dorset Ranger Team is jointly funded by Dorset County Council and North Dorset District Council.
