Open Space

The Council has prepared an Open Space Strategy as it recognises that the provision of high quality public space is vital to sustaining thriving communities. Key issues of safety, cleanliness and generally making our public places cleaner, safer and greener, are important to many and the new strategy will show a commitment to providing good quality open spaces throughout the district.

Open Space Strategy

The Strategy will provide the basis for informed debate and consultation working with key stakeholders and community groups. Examples of good practice will be sought from other councils to provide guidance on preparation of the document together with detailed help in the form of government guidance.
