Conservation Areas

Trees are a valued features of our towns and countryside and make an important contribution to the character of our environment. It is therefore important that, if you are planning to carry out work to any tree(s) within a Conservation Areas must give 6 weeks notice so that we can:-

  • Consider whether the tree is worthy of a Tree Preservation Order
  • Consult the relevant Parish Council as to whether they have any objection to the proposed work

Carrying out work to trees within a Conservation Area

In order to carry out works to a tree within a Conservation Area you will need prior consent from the Council. please contact the Environment Team for further information.
