Membership of the Leisure Centres
There are many advantages to becoming a member of one of the Council’s Leisure Centres and all you need to do is complete a membership form.
Benefits of membership
- Membership status at all North Dorset District Council Leisure Centres.
- Preferential booking and pre booking of classes and facilities.
- Free showers.
- Discounted facilities and classes.
- Free court facilities at certain times at weekends*
- 10% discount at Blandford Sports Shop.
*Blandford Leisure Centre, Saturday 3pm finish;
Gillingham Leisure Centre, Saturday 3pm finish;
Shaftesbury Leisure Centre, Sunday 12-4pm;
Sturminster Newton Leisure Centre, Sunday 1-5pm.
Some of the centres will be closed between Christmas and New Year and may also close for longer if planned maintenance needs to be carried out (prior notice will be given).
Please note: Membership cards must be shown at reception on arrival. Anyone who cannot produce their card will be charged non-member rates. To receive membership rates on court bookings all people using the facility must be a member.
Types of membership:
Please note: proof of status must be produced when applying for membership, all membership prices are per annum.
- Adult (£31.50): a person aged between 25 and 59
- Concession (£18.40): a person aged between 18 and 24, a full time student, registered disabled, or a person aged 60 and over.
- Leisure Pass (£5.25): a person 17 and under, any person in receipt of council tax benefit
- Family (£65.50): includes 2 adults and up to 4 concessions. All applicants must reside at the same address.
- Club/Organisation (£31.50): any group, club or organisation may take out membership at the centres where their patrons are constantly changing i.e. sports leagues, competitions, schools or clubs
Renewals: when your membership card/s expire just take your payment to reception and we will do the rest.
