Aerobics Classes

A Class Above

Keeping yourself fit and healthy is not all about punishing yourself by pounding out the miles until you can’t run anymore, there are many ways to improve your fitness without doing yourself damage and whilst having some fun at the same time. One of these is to join other people in their quest by joining in a fitness class.

North Dorset Leisure Centres currently run a comprehensive schedule of fitness classes that range from lower intensity low impact classes such as aquafit and Over 50’s sessions to high energy workouts that include circuits and boxer circuits to classes where you decide the intensity such as swiss ball classes and Spinning.

Spinning which has now securely established itself as no overnight fad, is run very successfully at Shaftesbury Leisure Centres. Spinning is a very popular low impact activity class that takes place entirely on a fixed wheel cycle with the teacher issuing instructions to regulate the intensity of the class. The beauty of spinning is that you are in control of your own bike and ultimately the intensity at which you actually work.

Some of the new adult classes that are taking place for the first time across North Dorset Leisure Centres are Swiss ball classes, boxer circuits, cardio kick boxing and low impact over 50’s classes. These classes can be enjoyed with a friend, can help you improve your level of fitness or get you fit for a specific event.
