The Planning Policy team develop policies and proposals for the North Dorset Area.

We aim to provide:-

  • a framework which will co-ordinate and direct the future development in the district
  • policies; to be used by development control to help determine planning applications
  • information for the Regional Spatial Strategy
  • policies which incorporate regional and national guidance
  • monitoring and research information, to evaluate policy performance.
