Statement of Community Involvement
The Council's Statement of Community Involvement sets out how the District Council will involve people who live and work in Dorset in:
- The preparation of the new Local Development Framework which will gradually replace the existing Local Plan and;
- The determination of planning applications.
The community has been consulted at various stages during the preparation of this document - see Report on Community Consultation link to the right.
Representations received during the final consultation period were forwarded to the Planning Inspectorate. These can be viewed by clicking on Reg 31 Reps to the right. An independent Inspector has now considered the Council's submitted document together with all the representations made on it. The Inspectors Report can be viewed by clicking on the link to the right.
The final version of the Statement of Community Involvement was adopted by Council on 28th July 2006. It can be viewed by clicking on the link to the right. The Adoption Statement gives details of where hard copies of the document can be viewed.
