Members of visiting forces, international headquarters and defence organisations

Any person who has a relevant association with a Visiting Force will be disregarded for the purpose of discount. This particular disregard applies to both military and civilian attachments to the force. It does not apply to British Forces personnel.

Please contact the Council to request a claim application form. The form should be completed in full and returned to the Council with a letter of confirmation from the relevant organization. Following approval, a revised bill of account will be issued.

You will be counted if you are a member of a visiting force, or a member (or dependent of a member) of certain International Headquarters and Defence Organisations.

Relevant organisations include:

  • SHAPE,
  • SACLANT,
  • CINCHAN,
  • CHANCOMMITTEE,
  • COMMAIRCHAN,
  • CINCEASTLANT and
  • COMMAIREASTLANT

In order to grant the discount, a letter of confirmation from the relevant organisation together with a discount form will be required.
