Moving House

The wheeled bins and kerbside boxes are the property of North Dorset District Council and must stay with the property.  If you move house please leave your bin behind for the next occupant. The bins must not be taken away when you move.

  • When you leave the property please make sure that the wheeled bins and box are clean.
  • If you rent an additional bin or a larger bin please contact us to arrange cancellation of the rental agreement.

If you have recently moved into a new property and do not have a wheeled bin or green recycling box please contact the Council.  If the previous occupant has left behind a bin that is contaminated (i.e. non-compostable items in the brown bin) please contact the Council and we will arrange to empty this for you.

The Council is not responsible for cleaning dirty bins.  There are companies who can provide a wheeled bin cleaning service. Link to bin cleaning services page
