Adopted Highway

Refuse must be placed on or adjacent to the nearest suitable point of the adopted highway.  Adopted Highway is public roads and pavements

Section 46 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 states that the Waste Collection Authority (NDDC) has the power to determine when and where materials should be placed, to ensure collection.
