Premises

Land and premises suitable for business use are not often easy to find, especially where a business has particular requirements. The Council has invested in work to make the search for appropriate business land and premises less difficult.

Property Pilot

Property Pilot is a database of commercial property and land made available by the partnership of local councils.

Direct public access is available through Property Pilot but is limited in its scope. The Rural Economy team is able to offer a more comprehensive search service through officers' knowledge of the property market in the District.

Non-domestic Buildings Survey (NDBS)

The NDBS is a database of mostly rural property that includes property that could be suitable for development for new business.

The database holds details of property that will only usually be available leasehold and that may need development to bring to a commercial standard. The conditions of use of such property will have to be subject to agreement with the owner and compliance with the necessary planning and building regulations.
