Paints
Domestic
If paint has completely solidified, it can be disposed of in the normal refuse collection.
With unwanted water-based paints, the lid can be left off the tin in a well-ventilated space and the paint allowed to solidify.
Where paint is still runny, it can be taken to any of Dorset County Council's Household Recycling Centres and disposed of in the general waste container.
If you live in or near the Christchurch area, you can recycle your paint through the Re-Paint scheme.
