Paper

Shredded Paper

It is not possible to collect shredded paper in the kerbside recycling schemes.  This is because of the way the paper is mechanically sorted at the material recycling facility.

Shredded paper can be recycled in the paper recycling banks due to the fact that this material is delivered to a different facility.

Paper can also be composted at home.

For residents with wheeled bins on the pilot scheme shredded paper can be recycled in the brown bins.

We can not accept padded envelopes  (often know through their trade name Jiffy Bags) as these aremade with thicker paper and then padded with plastic and/or other filler materials.
