Winterborne Kingston Play Park

Project Description

This project, which was identified in the local parish plan as a priority, was to upgrade the play park to provide equipment and facilities for toddlers, juniors and accompanying adults.

Project Proposer

Lower Winterbourne Parish Plan Steering Group.

Amount Awarded

£35,125 which represented 80% of the total project cost.

Amount Levered

£7880 including local fundraising, a contribution from NDDC’s Sports & Recreation Fund and £5000 secured from Awards for All following advice from the Liveability Team.

Performance Indicators

This project contributes to the following performance indicators:

  • The need to increase the active use of public open space
  • The need to encourage community involvement and ownership of public open space.
  • The need to provide projects for young people.
  • The number of play areas provided.
  • The number of projects supporting healthy living objectives.
